These 10-inch shears are the result of centuries of craftsmanship meeting modern material challenges. Developed specifically to tackle ultra-strong, advanced fibres—materials tough enough to stop a bullet—these Wilkinson shears make cutting the impossible, possible.

The design was created in the 1990s to solve a critical production issue for manufacturers struggling to cut vast spools of aramid and high-performance composite materials.¹ The resulting blade geometry was so unique that even PhD students at the University of Sheffield couldn't fully explain its effectiveness, leading the Whiteley team to dub the cutting action a "black art."
